This year, Belgium’s Kiwanis club Genk De Heimaaier is organizing the first Kiwasail Regatta in Rogoznica, Croatia from the 15th until the 19th of September 2012. Kiwasail is a yearly event of four days of sailing in a magnificent surrounding. This event combines sport, nature, networking, charity and fun. Fun will be a very important factor in Kiwasail, but it is much more than that.
In this first edition, a total of 10 sailing teams will compete with each other around the beautiful islands of the Croatian coast. All teams will start the regatta in the exclusive marina Frapa in Rogoznica, about half an hour from the historic city of Split. In the following four days, they will sail from the mainland to the former military island Vis, the island Solta and the well known and popular city of Hvar. Although sailing is an important part of this regatta, games and networking will take an exceptional role.

Of course, all of this is not only for the amusement of the participators. The goal of this regatta is raising funding for charity. The Eliminate Project is Kiwanis’ worldwide service project, and the goal is to eliminate maternal and tetanus by saving or protecting mothers and babies worldwide. Belgium’s Kiwanis club Genk De Heimaaier is eager to be a part of this project. Teams participating in Kiwasail will be able to attract sponsors to support them to take part in this regatta.

Charity, culture, nature and fun. Why not combine those things in one interesting project? Kiwasail is one such project. Kiwasail is an exclusive chance to experience a unique holiday and contribute to an important charity project.
