Do your part during CKI Service Week
Join other Circle K International clubs around the world during the first ever CKI Service Week, happening April 4–10, 2010, and culminating on Kiwanis One Day.
The goal of CKI Service Week is to increase awareness of CKI, the Kiwanis family and CKI’s service partners (Better World Books, March of Dimes, Students Team Up to Fight Hunger and UNICEF) on college campuses. During CKI Service Week more than 13,000 other college students will participate.
“CKI Service Week is a marketable event that clubs can get excited about,” says Circle K International Vice President JJ Sadler. “It’s a great event that will help clubs earn publicity, build awareness and recruit new members.”
The event also is a chance for the incoming Circle K International board and the outgoing Circle K International board to collaborate and CKI Service Week can serve as a celebratory event.
During CKI Service Week each club should:
• Conduct at least two projects that incorporate at least one of the service partners (Better World Books, March of Dimes, Students Team Up to Fight Hunger and UNICEF)
• Conduct at least one project that incorporates our Service Initiative: Focusing on the Future: Children
• Participate in Kiwanis One Day
The Circle K International board will recognize clubs that complete these activities with a certificate and a listing on the official Circle K International Web site. Please be sure to report your club’s CKI Service Week activities to CKI Service Committee Chairwoman Kristen Reed at subregionf@circlek.org.
