Builder Club Banner Patches
What can you earn?
Builders Clubs are encouraged to participate in a variety of projects. There are a few opportunities througout the year to be recoginized by Kiwanis International with a banner patch. Here are a some ideas to help you earn yours:
- The Kiwanis family helps children experience the joy of reading by conducting Read Around the World projects throughout the year. As a member of the Kiwanis family, what can you do? Read to children, and then give them books they can cherish again and again. To receive a banner patch to recognize your club for its Read Around the World efforts, complete this online banner patch order form.
- Honored and Distinguished Club Recognition: The Builders Club Annual Achievement Report captures a club’s activities throughout the year. It reinforces the mission and value of the program and rewards clubs for dedication to service to school and community, fundraising and donation activities, and Kiwanis-family activities. The report is due by May 1. See form for complete details.
- Kiwanis One Day is a chance for Kiwanis-family clubs to work together to meet the needs of their communities. If your club is interested in receiving a patch for participating, complete the online banner patch form.
- March for Babies, formally WalkAmerica, is one of America's favorite fundraising and walking events! Builders Clubs are encouraged to participate in their local walk and can earn a banner patch by raising more than $250. Visit March of Dimes to sign up online and to find the date and location in your area. On the site, you can register as a new or returning walker. Make sure you register as a Builders Club team! If you have any questions, contact your local March of Dimes chapter. Find your local chapter by clicking “find a march” in the purple bar and entering your ZIP code in the box under the map.Clubs raising US$250 or more are eligible for a banner patch.
- In early fall, each Builders Club will receive a personalized kit that contains its Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box, stickers, posters, and more. You can learn more the partnership with UNICEF online at www.unicefusa.org/keyclub and Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF at www.unicefusa.org/trickortreat. Clubs raising US$250 or more are eligible for a banner patch.
- Clubs submitting a scrapbook to their District Administrator for the annual contests will receive a Scrapbook Patch in the fall of the following year. Download the Awards Booklet with entry forms for the entire contest and award information, including deadlines, submission
