The Heritage Society
Planned giving means that a person has arranged for a charitable gift during his or her lifetime or after death, while meeting the donor’s current income needs and providing for heirs.
Planned gifts can allow you to make a larger gift than you otherwise could, let you receive income for life, earn a higher investment yield, or reduce your capital gains or estate taxes (depending on the giving plan).
Individuals who have included Kiwanis International Foundation in their estate plan with a documented gift of at least US$10,000 become members of the Heritage Society.
Heritage Society members receive an engraved marble plaque at their Kiwanis club meeting, an engraved brick placed in the Pathway to the Future at Kiwanis International headquarters, a distinctive lapel pin, recognition in donor publications, and invitations to special events.
