Annual Club Gift Campaign
Demand exceeds supply
Every year, Kiwanis clubs around the globe apply for and receive grants from your Kiwanis International Foundation.
The Kiwanis Club of Federal Way, Washington, for example, received a grant to help provide Hondurans with a free medical clinic and malaria-control center, along with assistance in education, housing, goods and social development.
High impact service thanks to generous Kiwanians and their clubs. But for every grant made, five times as many grants go unfunded.
“Clubs do a remarkable job of making the case for funding of just incredible projects,” says Mark Rabaut, Kiwanis International Foundation trustee. “But we are always way short in our ability to fund them. Less than a quarter of the requests are approved, year after year.”
Annual Club Gifts of all sizes are gratefully accepted and extend your club's impact on children's lives. To position your foundation to support more Kiwanis-family projects, clubs will be asked beginning October 1, 2012, to consider an Annual Club Gift of US$6 or more per member. Clubs that give US$5 or less per member and their districts will still be eligible for benefits including district matching scholarships. “We want to emphasize that every club around the world may apply for a grant to support projects they sponsor,” explains Rabaut.
Extend your club's impact with a Kiwanis tradition
Each year, the Kiwanis International Foundation conducts its Annual Club Gift Campaign from October 1 through September 30. Your club's support of the Annual Club Gift Campaign helps the Kiwanis family serve more children in communities around the world through the foundation's grants and scholarships, extending your impact on children's lives.
