Students provide "Trauma Dolls" for local hospital.

2/05/2010

"Trauma Dolls" help children visiting hospitals better understand what is happening.

The CJSF/Builders Club at Mesa View Middle School created dolls for the Children's Trauma Center at Loma Linda Hospitial. "Trauma Dolls" are given to children who visit the hospital with injuries from car accidents, falls, physical abuse and other traumatic experiences. To alleviate the fear and apprehension most kids have of hospitals, nurses use the dolls to explain treatments. This is a great project for clubs who need to do projects at the school but want to benefit the community. Contact your local children's hospital to see how your club can make "trauma dolls".
